Go Somewhere, Do Nothing.

EntryThree.

[August 2o1o]

a day of nothing eh. i wonder how we're gonna pull this one off. since this is our one and only full day at a campground, we decided to take it easy and do absolutely shit all. that is after all why people rent these camp-sites anyways, right?

dang, nothing is hard to do. grab a bagel at the town timmies, check. find the interwebs, check. hit up the 'Tourist Mart', check! haha tourist mart. probably the best all-in-one store we have come across yet. unfortunately a lot of the fruit was crap because it had to travel so far. we grabbed some bananas, soup and snacks. including some damn tasty home baked raspberry muffins. the best thing about traveling through small towns has to be the local food and flavours. especially out east.

at least this campground has some neat things to do. poooool! i mean it's not as amazing as swimming in the ocean, but a good way to kill some of our afternoon of doing nothing. the campground also has this giant trampoline 'jumping pillow' thing. no way something that fun is 'just for kids'. well, the rules sign didn't say so anyways, so we bounced the shit outta that thing!

ahh screw it. it's too hard to do nothing. too much to sea. and sky. sea and sky really. a couple pre-rolled dubs accompanied us on a skywalk. yeah, the clouds out there are so amazing they warrant their very own walk to enjoy them.

because we carry a camp stove [and it's just not a good idea when stealth camping] we rarely get the chance to have a fire. so having access to a fire pit is another welcome treat that comes with paying for a camp site. the weather was perfect to lay out under the sky. i gave a call to our friends in Halifax to let them know we were on the east coast, and then laid back to enjoy the stars. we're terribly used to the city light pollution. it's hard to look away once your eyes adjust to the endless night sky out here by the ocean. even the milky way is easily visible, not to mention the meteors and satellites.

lots of rest tonight, back to the highway in the morning.
